Downtown Cleveland Ghost Walk
Hauntings and Horrors in the Forest City
As the sun goes down on Cleveland, the shadows of the city lengthen and reach into the darkness. From that Plutonian darkness emerge the most bone-chilling tales the Forest City has to offer.
Hear the report of a colossal phantom that stalked the area of Erie Street Cemetery in the early 1860s, which was said to be responsible for at least one death. The Old County Jail once occupied the area northwest of Public Square and was said to be haunted by three convicted murderers who plunged into eternity at the end of a hangman’s noose. Tread the grounds of two lost cemeteries, one of which was a witness to grisly apparitions crawling from the grave. Playhouse Square is rumored to host more than its share of disembodied spirits, some who can be heard whistling in the darkened auditoriums.

Haunted houses, grim phantasms, ghoulish specters, and blood-curdling ghostly tales – some forgotten for over a century – will be shared. An explanation or two may be offered, and some long-standing mysteries may even be solved. Join us as we walk in the footsteps of history and rediscover Cleveland’s paranormal past.
