Terrors of Tremont

walking tour

True Crime, Tragedy, and Ghostly Terrors on the South Side

Originally developed as University Heights, so named for the Cleveland University that briefly existed there, Tremont is now home to beautiful residences, a historic arts district, many fine dining establishments, and more churches than one could count in a single glance. It’s also the scene of numerous horrific murders, deadly disasters, and more than a few phantoms.

This hauntingly good time kicks off on Saturdays at 8pm & explores the sites & sounds of hauntings, ghosts & paranormal activity throughout Downtown Cleveland

Visit the house where in 1875, William Adin hacked his wife to death with an ax, then proceeded to ride across town and kill two more women with a hammer. The Central Viaduct seemed cursed from the start. It was the scene of multiple disasters, including one that occurred in 1895, when a trolley fell through the open draw killing 17 aboard. The Union Gospel Press Building at Jefferson and West 7th has long held rumors of a haunting. Does its past hold more secrets and a connection to one of northern Ohio’s most notorious paranormal legends? Murder, mayhem, and ghostly madness – Tremont really has it all.
